Summary
Is a hypnotic sedative that was introduced in 1954, as a "safe" alternative to barbiturates to treat insomnia. Anecdotally long term use has had effects similar to withdrawal, while still on a stable dose of the drug.
Depressant
Depressants are drugs which reduce arousal and stimulation in the user, characterised by a depressing of mental and physical functions.
